The Firefish Cichlid is a species of cichlid native to Lake Malawi in East Africa. It is a predatory fish that feeds on smaller fish and crustaceans. In the aquarium, it should be kept with other larger cichlids of similar temperament and provide hiding places for it to retreat to.
