Step 1 - Float your unopened bag in the aquarium for approximately 30 minutes. This will help prevent shock due to a sudden temperature change.

Step 2 – Cut the clamp/knot off the bag and roll the sides down enough to help keep the bag open and add about 1/3 water from your aquarium into the bag and wait 10 minutes.

Step 3 – Remove about 1/3 of the water in the bag and use it to water a nearby plant or just down a drain. And then add another 1/3 water from your aquarium into the bag and wait 10 minutes.

This will help reduce a sudden pH change that can stress your fish.

Step 4 – Release the fish. Using a small fish net or your bare hand, scoop the fish out of the bag and release them into your aquarium. You don’t want to introduce more of the bag water into your aquarium than is necessary.
